August 2009.  Inspire Guitars finished the first prototype of handmade Acoustic Guitar.  It's basic design is based on a classic Martin-style acoustic.  Top was Sitka Spruce and back and sides were rosewood.  We used a new paddle piezo sensor for the internal pickup nicknamed the "leaf".  Overall the guitar sounds bright, very resonant, intonation was fantastic.  We were very pleased with how the new pickup sounded using a pre-amp with a slight chorus effect.  We are now experimenting with prototype 2, with a Englemann Spruce Top and Mahogany back and sides, with a full pre-amp inside the guitar.
