Brent began playing guitar at the age of 14 and instantly fell in love with the instrument. He immediately formed a band with his friends, began taking lessons, and practicing daily. At the age of 15 Brent started playing gigs with his band Metal Storm (www.myspace.com/metalstormtracker) at various local venues. In the summer of 2005 Brent was accepted into Berklee College of Music Summer guitar sessions in L.A. where he honed his skills by being personally instructed by guitar legend Joe Stump. After
recording several demo C.D.s including one 4 song demo which earned recognition from Annihilator's Jeff Waters, the band eventually parted ways. Shortly after, Brent joined the band Skullhammer (www.myspace.com/skullhammer) and has been playing many shows with them including Northwest Metalfest, supporting the band Thor. At the age of 17 Brent began teaching guitar at Wentworth Music. Now 18, Brent is currently attending Selkirk Music College in Nelson B.C., Canada, where he intends to continue practicing and learning in order achieve his goal of becoming a professional musician.
